Moving On Up...

Tim and I have finally made a decision on our housing situation and we're moving out of our place on May 22nd-ish.  That sounds so final.  May 22nd-ish.  Details on our plans to come later.  So there you have it.  I've blogged.

On another note,  our littlest nephew is having some testing done tomorrow.  Please keep Andrew, Ann & Luke in your prayers.  We were able to spend sometime with them last weekend and he is just the happiest and sweetest little guy!!  We pray that Luke will be completely healed!!!

Give Credit Where Credit Is Due

Tim talks in his sleep. A lot.

This morning at 12:58 a.m. I randomly woke up and I was FREEZING. I quickly realized that I had no covers. Tim, on the other hand, was wrapped up like a little baby with our entire comforter. So I pushed him gently and told him to roll over and give me some of the comforter. He did roll over and gave up some of the blankets.  Then he blessed me with this little nugget of wisdom… “'This is a nation of laws, not of men.' – George Washington.”

First of all, what was he dreaming about?!?!

Second of all, he remembered to give credit to good ‘ole GW.

Bwahhhahahahahahaha!!!!
I was crying, I was laughing so hard!  Read that sentence again, but read it with the voice of Michael Scott. That’s what he sounded like. At 12:58 am.

Pure entertainment.

All is Well

After a yuck, yuck, yucky day yesterday, Tim took me up to Bethany to watch the sunset.  To say it was amazing would be an understatment.  Bethany Beach is probably in the top three of my favorite places in the entire world.  I'm pretty sure that 99% of my entire family would concur.  I was two weeks old when I had my first visit to this beach.  For as long as I've been alive my grandparents have had a cottage up here.  I found out today that while we were there last night, the buyers of their house were giving their testimony to the board and now it is offically sold... which is good news, but also so blah.

Our camera quit working while Tim was in India [hence the lack of pictures] so we had to use our phones.  Enjoy...

You Are Not My Uncle

It's April 15th.  I am not happy with Uncle Sam.  Enough said.  Now, I will read Luke 20:25 over and over and over and over and then get my free coffee from Starbucks.

we were never in aisle four

You know the movie Mr. Mom?  Remember when the dad goes grocery shopping with the kids and the clerk announces a clean up in aisle four and then mr. mom yells, "Herb, we were never in aisle four!!"  [I don't know if that's the exact aisle number or the name for Herb] Well, I repeat that part of the movie over and over when Tim and I go grocery shopping.  Aren't you glad you don't have to shop with me??  :)

Chin Up

My lack of posting was brought on by a nasty February/March.  Do you ever feel like you take one step forward and then a dozen backward??  That's how I felt.  Financially speaking, to be exact.  So many things were going to change for us in 2010, or so we planned.  Then we worked on our taxes.  I believe our household may be single-handled supporting the government.  That was on a Saturday night. [side note: do not call your husband crying hysterically, minutes before he goes on stage, to tell him that you owe lots of scrillalesson learned.] Then, the following Monday morning I got into the most ridiculous car "accident."  I was a-ok but the undercarriage of my car was not, allegedly.  So there went another ridiculous amount of money.  grrrrrr... can you feel me now?

...but then came the most amazing and life changing event for our little family, India.  I technically did not leave the United States, but boy, oh boy Tim's trip has changed us.  I will [work on] never complain about having to load the dishwasher and walking the 2.3 steps it takes to unload it, because HOLY COW, WE HAVE CLEAN RUNNING WATER IN OUR HOUSE.  I will also work on not complaining about laundry.  Seriously, all I have to do it put things in and out of machines then onto hangers.  That's it.  Could it be any easier? I don't have to spend all day in the 100 degree weather beating, scrubbing and washing clothes.  I'm trying to find a picture of how these women "do" laundry, but I can't find any.  I'll have to wait until Tim gets home.  Until then, enjoy this!  Tim was a hit with all of the kids.  Everyone I talk to that went on the trip immediately tells me how much the kids loved Tim... he was like a kid magnet.  I love my husband.  Hopefully Tim will be able to share some thoughts/stories from his trip to update everyone.

When I look through all of Tim's pictures, I realize that my problems are nothing compared to others.  I need to just keep on keeping on.

Luke 6:20-21 “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours in the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.”
