Amy and Her Goals

Yesterday my family headed to Indy for Ben's dedication.  Most of us met at Amys house before the service.  At 9:57 (or close to) Amy quickly ushered us out of her house.  She told us the goal was to get out of the house by 10:00.  The service started at 10:15.  So we all got into my parents car and the Lubsen's got into their van and we were off.  We arrived at church and the service had clearly already started.  We thought that was really strange [check one].  The entire congregation was singing hymns.  A few of us went to the bathroom and a few of us were checking out the bulletin boards where they had pictures of all of the families that are members of the church.  We couldn't find a picture of the Lubsens [check two].  Amy and Graig were still not there and we left one after the other [check three].  I sent a text to my older brother asking if he was at church yet.  His response: Yes.  I couldn't find him anywhere [check four].  A moment or two later Tim stopped someone and asked if there was a baby dedication service.  His response: No [check five].

We had walked in on the wrong church!!!!!!!  Those ushers must have thought we were crazy folk!

As we were leaving this church and heading out to find the right one Tim said, "I thought Amy had some messed up goals, leaving by 10:00 for a 10:00 service".   bwahahahaha.

Memories.

And here's a shot of the star of the show.... a little sleepy and chillaxin on my lap.  Hopefully that's not a sketchy gang sign he's flashing at us.

well, now that i think about it, i could say more... i'll take responsibility for insisting we were in the right church especially since Amy told us a service would already be going on but ending soon. Also, didn't you love the panic on dad's face!?
